How does Soma Pill work?

Soma Pill (also known as Carisoprodol) is a muscle relaxant. It is actually a centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxant. It works over the entire central nervous system of a human being. It provides both muscle pain relief and mental relief from the pain. How this drug exactly works is not known. But it is said to alter the transmission of the pain sensations that take place between the neurotransmitters in the brain and spinal cord. It makes a person change his/her perception towards the pain. It relaxes and calms down the mind of the user.

How to know you are experiencing Muscle Strain?

Following are the symptoms that indicate that you are suffering from muscle strain:
    Muscle spasm
    Soreness
    Swelling
    Sudden onset of pain

    Weakness
    Bruising/discoloration

How to use this Oral Pain Reliever?

    Take this pain med orally with a glass of water. Never consume this drug with any substances that have sedative effects such as alcohol.
    Usually, doctors prescribe this drug for 2-3 weeks. Avoid using the drug for more than the prescribed time period.
    This medication is only for adults who are 18 years or above.
    If you have muscle spasms, then you may take 250-350 mg thrice a day or once before bedtime according to your pain.
    Store this medication at room temperature away from moisture, heat, or direct sunlight.
    Throw away any medications that are lying in your house unused or expired immediately.
    Do not share this medication with other people mainly those who have had a prior drug addiction problem. Carisoprodol is an addictive substance. It could be life-threatening if misused.

Important Information

    Tell your doctor if you are taking any drugs or treatments at present. It can be dangerous if they interact with Carisoprodol. So, inform your doctor if you are taking any prescribed drugs, non-prescribed drugs, recreational drugs, dietary drugs, illegal drugs, nutritional drugs, vitamins, herbal treatments etc.
    If you ever developed any allergic reactions to Carisoprodol, meprobamate, tybamate etc, do tell your doctor about it.
    Inform your whole medical history to your doctor. This can include kidney/liver disease, heart problems, high blood pressure, mental/mood disorders, prior substance use disorder etc.
    People who have a genetic enzyme disorder called porphyria should not take this pain med.
