Levitra for Erectile Dysfunction

Introduction
Levitra is one of the most effective Erectile Dysfunction (ED) medications offered on the market. The active ingredient in the medicine is Vardenafil, which is responsible for increasing the blood flow to a male penis by enlarging the arteries.
Erectile dysfunction is the inability to achieve and maintain an erection in order to have successful sexual intercourse. Nowadays, as there are numerous ED treatments to address this problem, men do not have to give in the illness or abandon their sex lives.

How does Levitra work?
Being a PDE5 inhibitor drug, Levitra relaxes the patient’s arteries, thus enhancing the blood flow to his penis once sexually aroused. Without sexual stimulation, the medication itself is not able to achieve an erection. Therefore, your sexual partner and Levitra will need to to ‘cooperate’ in order to achieve an erection.
In fact, all ED medications work according to the same principle. However, unlike the popular Viagra or Sildenafil, the efficiency of which lasts only up to two hours, Levitra can provide a rock-hard erection for up to four hours!

Which side effects does Levitra cause?

The most common side effect of Levitra is a headache. At least one in ten men who take Levitra experience this side effect. It is usually mild and it should pass quickly. Levitra can also cause a range of other side effects.

How can I avoid side effects?

In order to avoid side effects, it is important that you take the correct dosage. Your doctor or online doctor will prescribe the dosage that is suitable for you. Do not increase this dosage without asking your doctor first, as taking a higher dosage can increase your risk of side effects. It is important that you don’t exceed the maximum Levitra dosage of 20mg per day.

It is also important that you tell your doctor if you’re taking any other medication, as it could interact with Levitra and cause unwanted side effects. You can’t combine Levitra with any similar medication, such as Viagra or Cialis.
